HireMe Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: August 21 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may be considered for professionals and customers using the HireMe platform.
HireMe is a platform that connects customers with local service professionals. HireMe does not directly provide most of the services listed on the platform. Services are performed by independent professionals registered with HireMe.
HireMe Premium Membership – Refund & Cancellation Policy for Professionals
1. Premium Membership for Professionals
HireMe offers professionals the opportunity to join the platform through its Premium Membership program. Premium Membership provides access to professional onboarding, platform features, service opportunities and other benefits that may be offered by HireMe from time to time.
Membership plans, benefits, eligibility requirements and applicable charges may vary depending on the plan selected and the terms displayed at the time of enrollment.
By completing the Premium Membership enrollment process, the professional acknowledges and agrees to the applicable membership terms.
1.1 Premium Membership Activation
A professional’s Premium Membership becomes active once the enrollment process has been successfully completed and the applicable membership requirements have been fulfilled.
The professional may receive a unique HireMe Professional ID and access to relevant platform features, service opportunities, onboarding resources and other membership benefits.
Premium Membership benefits may be updated, modified or expanded by HireMe from time to time.
1.2 7-Day Membership Review Period
HireMe provides professionals with a 7-day membership review period from the date of successful Premium Membership activation.
During this period, a professional may request cancellation and consideration for a membership reversal where a genuine and reasonable circumstance exists.
Any such request must be submitted through an official HireMe support channel and may be subject to review.
Completion of the 7-day review period does not create any automatic entitlement to cancellation, reversal or refund.
1.3 Membership After the 7-Day Period
Once the applicable 7-day membership review period has expired, the Premium Membership is considered confirmed and cannot ordinarily be revoked, cancelled or reversed by the professional.
This applies even where the professional:
-
Changes their mind after joining;
-
Decides not to continue using the platform;
-
Remains inactive;
-
Does not receive the expected number of service opportunities;
-
Does not achieve the expected level of income;
-
Does not respond to customer requests;
-
Does not accept available service opportunities; or
-
Chooses to discontinue participation for personal reasons.
This provision does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
1.4 Circumstances That May Be Considered During the Review Period
HireMe may consider a membership cancellation or reversal request where the professional presents a genuine and reasonable circumstance.
Examples may include:
-
A significant issue during the onboarding process;
-
A material technical problem that prevented reasonable access to the platform;
-
A substantial error associated with membership activation;
-
A genuine circumstance that materially affects the professional’s ability to participate;
-
Other exceptional circumstances that HireMe considers reasonable after reviewing the individual case.
These examples do not create an automatic right to cancellation or refund. Each request will be reviewed independently.
1.5 Circumstances Generally Not Eligible for Reversal
A membership reversal will generally not be approved where the request is based solely on:
-
Change of mind after enrollment;
-
Lack of interest in using HireMe;
-
Inactivity or failure to use the platform;
-
Laziness or unwillingness to participate;
-
Failure to respond to customers;
-
Failure to accept available service opportunities;
-
Expectation of receiving a particular number of customers or jobs;
-
Expectation of earning a particular amount of income;
-
Personal preference without a genuine reason;
-
Failure to achieve expected earnings;
-
Providing incomplete, false, misleading or unverifiable information;
-
Attempting to recover membership charges after using Premium Membership benefits;
-
Misuse, manipulation or abuse of the membership or refund process; or
-
Any other circumstance that does not reasonably justify cancellation under HireMe’s membership terms.
The availability of service opportunities or potential earnings is not guaranteed and may depend on location, customer demand, professional category, availability, performance and other factors.
1.6 Membership Cancellation Request
Professionals who wish to request cancellation during the applicable review period may contact HireMe through an official support channel provided by the platform.
The professional may be required to provide:
-
Full name;
-
HireMe Professional ID;
-
Date of Premium Membership activation;
-
Reason for the cancellation request;
-
Relevant service or platform details;
-
Supporting information, where reasonably required; and
-
Any additional information necessary to verify the request.
HireMe may contact the professional for clarification or additional information before making a decision.
1.7 Review and Decision
Submitting a cancellation or refund request does not guarantee approval.
HireMe may review:
-
Membership information;
-
Account activity;
-
Platform usage;
-
Service history;
-
Customer interactions;
-
Communications;
-
Feedback;
-
Technical records; and
-
Other relevant information associated with the professional’s account.
HireMe will make its decision based on the circumstances of the request and the applicable membership terms, subject to applicable law.
1.8 Approved Reversal or Refund
If HireMe determines that a membership reversal or refund is justified, the approved amount will generally be returned through the original payment method used for membership enrollment.
Where the original payment method cannot reasonably be used, HireMe may use another verified payment method, subject to applicable verification requirements.
Any applicable payment-processing charges, taxes, statutory deductions or other legally permitted deductions may be deducted from the amount refunded.
1.9 No Guaranteed Earnings
Premium Membership provides access to the HireMe professional platform and its available opportunities. Membership does not guarantee a specific number of customers, service requests, bookings, jobs or income.
Professional earnings may vary based on factors including:
-
Customer demand;
-
Service category;
-
Location;
-
Availability;
-
Professional performance;
-
Customer ratings and feedback;
-
Number of completed services; and
-
Other market or platform conditions.
Professionals should therefore not consider Premium Membership as a guarantee of employment, income or a fixed number of service opportunities.
1.10 Platform & Membership Updates
HireMe may introduce new Premium Membership features, benefits, eligibility requirements, service categories, professional tools or other platform improvements from time to time.
Where required, applicable terms may be updated to reflect changes in the platform, business model, technology or legal requirements.
Continued use of the platform after an applicable update may constitute acceptance of the revised terms, subject to applicable law.
1.11 Governing Principle
HireMe aims to maintain a transparent, fair and professional membership experience for all professionals.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
2. Refund Policy for Customers
At present, HireMe does not require customers to purchase a premium membership or subscription in order to use the platform.
Customers generally pay the professional for the service after the service has been provided, according to the agreed service price and applicable platform process.
2.1 Completed Services
Once a professional has completed a service, the amount paid for that service is generally non-refundable, because the payment relates to a service that has already been performed by an independent professional.
A customer’s dissatisfaction, disagreement with the professional’s working style, or subjective expectation that the service should have been better does not automatically create a right to a refund.
HireMe does not guarantee that every customer will be personally satisfied with every aspect of a professional’s work.
However, HireMe may review a genuine service dispute where there is a reasonable question as to whether the agreed problem was actually addressed.
2.2 Service Disputes
If a customer believes that the service was not properly completed, the customer should report the issue to HireMe through the support/refund/dispute facility available on the platform or through an official HireMe communication channel.
The customer should provide:
-
- HireMe customer details;
-
- Professional/service details;
-
- Description of the original problem;
-
- Description of the service requested;
-
- Explanation of what the customer believes was not completed;
-
- Photographs, videos or other supporting evidence where available;
-
- Any other information reasonably requested by HireMe.
2.3 Professional’s Service Documentation
Professionals may be required to provide appropriate information regarding completed services, including, where applicable:
-
- Photographs before the service;
-
- Photographs after the service;
-
- Description of the original problem;
-
- Work performed;
-
- Materials or procedures used, where relevant;
-
- Final status of the service;
-
- Any limitations, remaining issues or recommendations;
-
- Customer feedback or confirmation where available.
This information may be used by HireMe to evaluate a customer complaint.
2.4 How HireMe Evaluates a Dispute
When a genuine dispute is raised, HireMe may consider information from both parties, including:
-
- Customer feedback;
-
- Professional feedback;
-
- Photographs and videos;
-
- Service descriptions;
-
- Job records;
-
- Communication records available to HireMe;
-
- Evidence of work performed;
-
- Whether the original problem was reasonably addressed;
-
- Whether the service was fully, partially or inadequately completed; and
-
- Any other relevant information.
HireMe may determine whether the original service request was:
a. Reasonably completed:
The original problem was addressed and the service was substantially completed. In such cases, a refund will generally not be provided.
b. Partially completed:
Only part of the agreed work was completed, or there is sufficient evidence that the original problem was only partly addressed. HireMe may consider an appropriate partial resolution where justified.
c. Not reasonably completed:
There is sufficient evidence that the agreed service was not provided or that the original problem was not reasonably addressed. HireMe may consider an appropriate resolution, including a refund where justified and legally permissible.
HireMe’s review is intended to determine whether the service was actually and reasonably performed, and is not intended to guarantee a particular level of subjective customer satisfaction.
2.5 No Automatic Refund for Dissatisfaction
A customer cannot demand a refund solely because:
-
- They did not personally like the result despite the agreed work being completed;
-
- They expected a different result that was not originally agreed;
-
- They changed their mind after the service;
-
- They believe the professional should have charged less;
-
- They did not like the professional’s manner or working style, where the agreed service was nevertheless completed;
-
- They failed to communicate their requirements clearly before the service;
-
- They simply believe the service should have been better without providing reasonable evidence of incomplete or defective service.
HireMe may consider exceptional circumstances individually.
3. Fraudulent or Misleading Refund Claims
HireMe reserves the right to reject refund requests where it reasonably believes that:
-
- False information has been provided;
-
- Evidence has been manipulated;
-
- A customer or professional has intentionally misrepresented the circumstances;
-
- The refund process is being abused;
-
- Multiple fraudulent claims are being submitted;
-
- The parties have attempted to misuse the HireMe platform.
HireMe may also restrict, suspend or terminate an account where permitted under the platform’s Terms and Conditions.
4. Refund Processing
Where HireMe approves a refund, the refund will normally be processed to the original payment method.
Where the original payment method is unavailable or unsuitable, HireMe may request verified bank/payment details from the eligible recipient.
The time required for the refund to appear in the recipient’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer or other payment service provider.
HireMe is not responsible for delays caused by banks, payment gateways or other third-party payment processors.
5. Refund Request Time Limit
Refund and dispute requests should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible after the relevant transaction or service.
HireMe may prescribe a specific time period for submitting refund or dispute requests through the application or platform and may reject requests submitted after the applicable period, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
6. Future Premium Memberships
HireMe may introduce paid premium memberships, subscriptions or other paid customer services in the future.
The refund, cancellation and renewal terms applicable to such services will be separately communicated to customers before or at the time of purchase and may be governed by additional terms.
The absence of a premium membership at present does not prevent HireMe from introducing such services in the future.
7. HireMe’s Role
HireMe primarily acts as a technology platform connecting customers with independent service professionals.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, HireMe is not the employer of the professional and does not directly perform the service.
The professional is responsible for providing the agreed service with reasonable care, skill and professionalism.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
8. Policy Changes
HireMe may modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the platform, services, payment systems, business practices or applicable laws.
The updated policy will be made available through the HireMe platform or other appropriate communication channels.
The version applicable to a transaction or service will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the terms communicated to the relevant user.
9. Contacting HireMe
Refund requests, service disputes and related complaints may be submitted through the official support channels made available by HireMe, including:
-
- In-app/platform refund or support page
-
- Official HireMe email
-
- Official HireMe WhatsApp/support channel
Users should provide accurate information and sufficient details to allow HireMe to properly review the request.
HireMe reserves the right to make refund decisions based on the evidence, circumstances and information available to it, subject to applicable law.
